| Even though the ND2600 and ND2700 printers appear to be slower they perform faster in real time printing applications; the following ECMA figures give real time performance. In fact the ND2600 is only 6% @80 column and 2% @132 column slower than the ND825 whilst being 3.5% faster than the NDSprint @80 Column printing applications. Compare the printing speeds of the ND2700’s, ND3207 and ND3210 and you will see they are faster in real time applications compared to 500 lpm line matrix printers at average of 40% lower in price!! | |||

| Print Quality: | |||
| The ND2000 Series print heads have 24 pins resulting in higher print resolution to graphics printing such as bar codes; the ND640, ND680, ND825 and NDSprint had only 9 pins. Bar Codes can now be produced with better print quality offering a higher readability percentage. | |||

| ND640 | Pull Tractor | ND2500 & ND3106 | Single Push Tractor |
| ND680 | Pull Tractor | ND2600 | Push Tractor, Manual Cut Sheet, Optional ASF x3 |
| ND825 | Pull Tractor | ND2700 & ND3207 | Dual Push Tractor |
| NDSprint | Pull Tractor | ND2700C & ND3106C | Dual Push Tractor with Integrated Cutting Device |
| Zero Tear Off (Zero Forms Wastage): | |||
| The ND640, ND680, ND825 and NDSprint use pull tractors to move the forms through the printer, this meant that you wasted a form every time you required seeing the last printed page. The ND2000 & ND3000 Series printers all use push tractors to move the forms through the printer, this means all can utilise a Zero Tear Off feature allowing the last printed page to be removed without wasting the following form. The ND2700C & ND3106C printers have an integrated cutting device, which cuts the forms on demand at the end of each page or at the end of the batch (Job). | |||
| Interfaces: | |||
| The ND2000 & ND3000 Series offer a wider range of exchangeable interfaces including NDR Parallel/Serial, NDR Ethernet 10baseT/10base2, IBM Twinax, IBM Coax, DEC Ethernet, HP Ethernet, Token Ring UTP/STP & 802.11b WLAN | |||
| Emulations & Drivers: | |||
| The ND2000 Series are supplied with the Epson ESC/P and DEC LA210 emulation’s already used in the ND640, ND680, ND825 and NDSprint making them backward compatible. ND3000 Series are supplied with Epson LQ & IBM Proprinter emulation. In addition the ND2000 & ND3000 Series also offer IBM IPDS, IGP, HP with NDR Bar Code emulation is to follow shortly. All printers are supplied with Windows 3.1, 3.11 , 95 & NT drivers. | |||
