Newbury Data offers tags and labels in both direct and thermal transfer Thermal Transfer Tags/Labels: Thermal transfer technology utilises a ribbon and matching tag or label stock material to transfer an image on to the material. Newbury Data's thermal transfer tags or labels combined with a Newbury Data ribbon provide the best solution for long life requirements or harsh environments.

Direct Thermal Tags/Labels: Direct thermal technology does not require a ribbon but instead uses a chemically coated tag or label material that reacts to temperature. The image is produced as heat is applied to the surface of the coated material. Newbury Data's direct thermal tags and labels may be used for indoor applications where temperatures will not exceed high levels.

Ribbons: Newbury Data has the right thermal transfer ribbon for your application. For standard printing on paper labels, Newbury Data's wax ribbons are unsurpassed for performance and value. When better image durability is required, Newbury Data's wax/resin ribbons will meet your requirements. Wax/Resin Ribbon: Wax/resin ribbons are formulated to offer high-quality, durable bar codes, text and graphics on coated paper facestocks and synthetic materials. Newbury Data offers several UL recognised and CSA Component Acceptable ribbons when used in combination with the appropriate media.

Resin Ribbon: Resin ribbons provide exceptional solvent resistance for the harshest environments. Our resin ribbons are well suited for printed applications that require UL recognition and CSA Component Acceptability.
