RFID SOLUTION PROVIDERS

Newbury Data’s GEN2 RFID Proof of Concept Demo Solution

Wondering where to start with RFID? Why start with

• Business analysis consultants
• Return On Investment (ROI) reports
• Middleware or Software review
• Increased data flow handling and storage
• Membership to governing bodies
• Fear or force of supplier status

When you should start with

• evaluation of the ”Air Interface” technology layer to support the justification to review future RFID systems

Where will RFID create points of failure?

Ensuring you have the ability read data from smart labels successfully into your system/application is the major factor in a successful RFID system. Only where the Air Interface exists between labelled product and reader is there a real threat that the system will not collect and administrate the required data. Most companies are steaming ahead with costly reviews of finding ways to maximise the payback RFID data delivers. But many have yet to evaluate correct label & antenna positioning and power requirements with their product material and/or packaging to ensure full readability at both the supplier and receiver network portals.

GEN2 Proof of Concept System

Take the risk out of RFID with a proof of concept solution designed to help you evaluate and identify correct label and antenna position on your chosen product and packaging.

Rent or Buy

Rent the system with an option to buy. The GEN2 Proof of Concept System includes everything you will need to be able to print, encode, read, review, report your test results, including a Printronix T5204r Smart label Printer with GEN2 Smart labels. The system is powered by the Printronix Mobile Powercart, which has sufficient power to operate the printer, reader, laptop and network hub for an 8 hour test period before requiring a recharge.

Printronix Smart Label Printers

Printronix presents the next generation family of RFID printers that deliver the latest innovations in RF encoding and printing technology to address a wide range of supply chain and compliance applications. As the adoption of RFID technology accelerates in retail and government supply chain operations, so must the printing solutions for smart labels. SmartLine™ RFID printers enable encoding and printing of various label sizes and antenna designs that have emerged as popular standards through early adopter pilot programs. In addition to label size and antenna design, the need for specific encoding technology to support today’s EPC standards with an easy migration path to tomorrow continues to be important.

Zebra Smart Label Printers

Zebra helps you go the distance with the R4Mplus printer/encoder. The R4Mplus supports UHF RFID transponders. This means you can run batch jobs for pallets and large cases unattended, realizing greater return for your time and efforts. The R4Mplus integrates a UHF reader/encoder to support Class 1 (Alien Technology) transponders. With its rugged metal enclosure, the R4Mplus is an extremely reliable performer. Count on it for a variety of industry demands in retail, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, security, and warehousing. The R4Mplus helps you reduce operating costs, improve efficiencies, strengthen security, manage inventory, streamline logistics operations, reduce supply chain shrinkage, and comply with RFID industry standards.

SAMSys Readers

The MP9320 2.7 EPC is a breakthrough in RFID reader/interrogator design. Providing unparalled flexibility, the MP9320 2.7 EPC supports a variety of UHF tag protocols and provides the best defense against future obsolescence. Available in FCC and ETSI configurations, the MP9320 2.7 EPC helps to “future-proof” your UHF hardware investment. With its extended read range and high data rates, this reader is especially suited for asset management and logistics applications requiring the simultaneous reading of large numbers of tags at greater distances. With RF connections for up to four antennas, the MP9320 2.7 EPC easily adapts to loading dock and portal installations, as well as conveyor applications, for aggregated container tracking, pallet tracking, and inventory management. Incorporating a robust, scalable architecture, the MP9320 2.7 EPC multi-protocol reader is upgradeable to new, emerging protocols and standards. This release of the MP9320 supports the ISO 18000-6A and -6B protocols, EM Marin 4022, 4222 and 4223, Intermec Intellitag™, Philips UCODE EPC 1.19, EPC Class 0/0+ and Class 1. The European version of the MP9320 2.7 EPC also supports listen before talk functionality and sub-band operation over 865-868 MHz at power levels up to 2 watts. With SAMSys’ multi-protocol, multi-regional technology, you are not limited to one tag vendor. With SAMSys, you have the Power to Choose.
